Logitech Brio 4K Review (2026)

★★★★★ 4.4/5 3 min read

The Logitech Brio 4K remains the webcam we point people to when they want to look sharp on calls without a full mirrorless-camera rig. It shoots true 4K, handles tricky lighting with HDR, and its adjustable field of view makes it flexible for different desks. It’s not cheap, but on video you can see where the money went.

What it’s great at

Detail is the obvious upgrade. The Brio’s 4K sensor resolves fine detail most 1080p webcams smear, and even when you’re on a call that downscales to 1080p, oversampling from 4K gives a cleaner, sharper image. RightLight 3 with HDR is the underrated feature: it lifts your face out of shadow when there’s a bright window behind you, a scenario that wrecks lesser cameras.

The adjustable field of view — 65°, 78°, and 90° — is genuinely useful. Keep it tight at 65° for a flattering head-and-shoulders framing, or open it up to 90° to get a whiteboard or a second person in the shot. An IR sensor also enables Windows Hello face login, and a physical privacy shade is included.

Pros

  • Genuine 4K detail; crisp even downscaled to 1080p
  • RightLight 3 HDR rescues backlit, window-behind-you setups
  • Three field-of-view options (65°/78°/90°)
  • Windows Hello IR login and included privacy shade

Cons

  • 4K/HDR needs USB 3.0 and solid lighting to shine
  • Autofocus can hunt in dim rooms
  • Premium price versus good 1080p webcams

Pricing

The Brio sits above mainstream 1080p webcams and occasionally goes on sale. You’re paying for the 4K sensor, HDR, and the FOV options. If you’re frequently on camera — sales, teaching, content — it’s easy to justify. If you take the odd call in a well-lit room, a cheaper 1080p camera may be enough.

If image quality and difficult lighting are your priorities, the Brio is our pick. Round out the desk setup with the Uplift V2 and the Herman Miller Aeron.

Verdict

The Logitech Brio 4K is our top webcam for people who are on camera often and want to look their best in any light. Give it USB 3.0 and decent lighting and it delivers a noticeably better image than the 1080p pack.
